What Is The Charge Free Dampener?
The Charge Free Dampener™ solves the pulsation dampener industry problems of cost, performance, size, and weight.
The Sigma CFD does not use a bladder or gases. Preferably, it utilizes the state-of-the-art, benefit-abundant Charge Free Conversion Kit®. For optimal mitigation through the entire operating pressure band, the CFC Kits are designed to amplify energy exchange and compression through an extensive surface area of precisely tuned and arranged components.
The CFD is the highest pressure rated and has the smallest and lightest footprint of any modern drilling dampener. AT 10,000 psi, the CFD will be a valued piece of equipment now and through the next wave of operation pressure requirements.
Keeping the technology from becoming obsolete was the first step, but another significant CFD design parameter was focused on product longevity. The CFD fasteners are completely corrosion-resistant, and they are intentionally recessed into the cover to protect them from damage. Plus, with the CFD’s forged steel body design, all the grains in the steel are moving in the same direction, delivering a robust product.

What Is The CFC Kit?
The CFC Kit solves the operational problems common to gas-filled bladders.
The Sigma D-CFC Kit does not use a bladder or gases. Preferably, it utilizes a molded basket containing a layered system of compression discs, each of which comprises four wedges.
The discs are specially molded to compress in a preset pressure range. The pumping fluid enters the basket and encases and interweaves through the network of compression discs. The system’s operating pressure is uniformly applied across the disc’s entire surface, causing the discs to compress under pressure load. The compression of the discs provides an attenuation of system-induced pressure spikes.
The compression discs are molded in several different pressure ranges. The basket contains a mix of layered discs, providing dampening capability across a wide range of operating pressures. Sigma can help custom tune a dampener device by providing a combination of pressure discs tailored to your needs.
The D-CFC Kit provides effective dampening across various pressures and operates reliably by eliminating dependence on gas-filled bladders.
